Covington Community Involvement

TWO MEN AND A TRUCK® North Shore partners up with local businesses and organizations every year to collect items for women who are staying in local domestic abuse or homeless shelters. We pick up all items and deliver them to these partnering shelters around Mother's Day. Donations are being collected for the women and children at Hagar's House New Orleans, from the beginning of March through May 4, 2022. We will be delivering all donations on May 5th with perfect timing for Mother's Day.

You can drop off essential care item donations through May 4, 2022, at 1430 N. Collins Blvd., Covington, LA 70433 or 5029 Bloomfield St., Jefferson, LA 70121.

Items being collected are as follows: 

Full size toiletries - Please no hotel or travel size

Deodorant, Toothpaste, Shampoo, Conditioner, Body wash, Lotion, Tampons, and Pads

Household supplies

Paper towels, Toilet paper, 30 gallon and 50 gallon trash bags, dish sponges, glasses, flatware, dinner plates, canned goods, small appliances: coffee maker, blender, and toaster. 
Non toxic cleaning supplies
    - Dish soap
    - Hand soap
    - All purpose cleaner
    - Laundry detergent

Office Supplies

Pens, pencils, printer paper

Linens

Twin/Twin XL sheet sets
Twin/Twin XL comforters 

Twin/Twin XL blankets
Pillows

Pillow cases
Towels
Hand towels
Washcloths

JLNO hosts an experience for children and their families to get a look at their favorite trucks! While at the event, you can meet community officials who protect and serve in the Greater New Orleans area. This was the 5th time we had the honor of participating in this event! We look forward to seeing everyone in November 2020!
