From our yearly campaigns like Movers for Moms® that helps women living in local shelters to our partnership with organizations, we strive to fully participate in all efforts within our community.
TWO MEN AND A TRUCK Campaigns
MOVERS FOR MOMS®
Being part of the Norton Commons community means more than just moving people. We’re proud to give back and support local organizations whenever we can. Through our annual MOVERS FOR MOMS® campaign, we partner with local nonprofits to collect and deliver essential items for mothers in need. We also assist community organizations with moving, transportation, and storage support when they need it. We’re grateful to serve this community and to play a small role in making it stronger.
Local Partners
SPARC Hope
SPARC Hope (formerly Mom’s Closet) is a resource center for single parents who may be struggling to make ends meet. They have been providing resources to members in the Louisville community since 2003. With a strong dedication to our community, SPRAC Hope is an organization we stand behind.
Norton Children's Hospital
For more than a century, Norton Children’s Hospital and its predecessor hospitals have cared for the children of Kentucky and Southern Indiana without regard to their families’ ability to pay. Norton Children’s Hospital is Kentucky’s only full-service, free-standing pediatric care facility dedicated exclusively to caring for children and is an advocate for the health and well-being of all children. The 300-bed hospital serves as the primary pediatric teaching facility for the University of Louisville School of Medicine. As the need for expert pediatric care has grown in our region, so has the footprint of Norton Children’s Hospital and the specialized care they provide. Their medical facilities currently serve more than 170,000 patients each year. We donate one dollar for each feedback card returned by our customers. We also have provided free moving services to the hospital.
Family Scholar House
Family Scholar House is changing lives, families and communities through education. Their mission is to end the cycle of poverty and transform our community by empowering families and youth to succeed in education and achieve life-long self-sufficiency.
Norton Cancer Institute
Have you or someone you know been affected by cancer? The Bike to Beat Cancer is a one-day bicycling event for all riders who want to make a difference and help those battling cancer at Norton Cancer Institute. There are three distance options from which to choose: 35, 65 or 100 miles. Not a bike rider? You can always volunteer. Whatever you do, you are helping those battling cancer.
Shively Area Ministries
Shively Area Ministries(opens in a new window) is a local Louisville organization with the mission "to respond in the spirit of Christ to persons in poverty and crisis by uniting the community for service". We are proud to partner with them as our official recipient of the 2020 Movers for Meals® campaign. All proceeds from our Movers for Meals® program will be delivered to their "Honey and Pop Food Pantry".
