TWO MEN AND A TRUCK Campaigns
Movers for Military
In honor of Veterans Day this fall TWO MEN AND A TRUCK® launched its Movers for Military campaign. We find this a perfect time to support our military by collecting items to help those in need. We partnered with the Midwest Shelter For Homeless Veterans in Wheaton. This incredible not-for-profit organization operates year round to provide housing and essential items necessary for our homeless vets. Consider the statistics from the National Coalisition for Homeless Veterans: Nearly ONE THIRD of the homeless population in the United States is comprised of veterans who have served our country.
Many business and organizations volunteered to be collection centers. We partnered with the Greater LaGrange YMCA, Elmhurst YMCA, Berwyn Public Library, Morgan Stanley, Orland Township, Joliet Public Library, and Shorewood-Troy Public Library. Over 600 items were collected and delivered in time for the Thanksgiving Holiday. We are so very grateful to all who contributed their time and energy to make this event successful.
Movers for Moms®
In addition to our participation in the nationwide TWO MEN AND A TRUCK® Movers for Moms® effort, which involves partnering with local organizations to collect essential care items to mothers in need around the time of Mother’s Day, we regularly help out others in need. We donate boxes to local churches, perform charity moves for the Midwest Homeless Veterans Shelter, and assist with the heavy lifting for other local organizations in need.
