A local moving company dedicated to our community

Here at TWO MEN AND A TRUCK®, we take pride in giving back to the communities that have supported us since the beginning!  Whether it be organizing drives benefitting local shelters, providing free local moves to non-profits, or volunteering time at community events, we are all in!

Some local non-profits that our franchises have given back to include Project Cure, Family Shelter Service, Hinsdale Humane Society, St Vincent De Paul Church, Sharing Connections, Share Your Soles, and Operation Care Package.

Our team is having fun gearing up for our annual MOVERS FOR MOMS® campaign! This will be our 20th year providing much-needed supplies for moms in need in our area. We will be contacting our charitable allies and supplying them with the list of items most needed and desired. Then our generous community does what it can to fulfill those needs through local businesses and organizations. We LOVE our MOVERS FOR MOMS® campaign!

Movers for Mutts®

MOVERS FOR MUTTS® is a program created by TWO MEN AND A TRUCK® in an effort to help local animal shelters. This program is hosted each fall and partners with local businesses, schools, and organizations to collect food, toys, and other essential items pets may need while waiting for their forever homes.

For 2022, animal shelters chosen to receive the generous donations were:

  • Hinsdale Humane Society, Hinsdale. It is based in the western Chicago suburbs and dedicated to the care and adoption of unwanted and abandoned animals. The Humane Society offers programs and services that celebrate pets and the people who love them. They offer humane education efforts and pet therapy outreach. It is a non-profit organization/
  • Help Save Pets, Plainfield. Help Save Pets was founded as the Humane Society of Plainfield in 2002. Now renamed Help Save Pets, it is dedicated to saving and finding homes for cats and dogs. They run an effective rescue service at minimum expense. There are four locations including Plainfield and Oswego, IL.
  • Humane Haven, Bolingbrook. Also known as HHAS, the state licenced humane society dedicates itself to the preservation and protection of pets. It fosters pet adoption and also provides pet care awareness and education to local communities. HHAS is 100% volunteer, with no one receiving a salary or income from donations.

You can find our donation boxes in these locations starting now!

  • Pets Etc.  2304 Route 59, Plainfield
  • Pet Supply Plus  105 E Ogden Avenue, Westmont
  • Bentley's Pet Stuff  1014 Ogden Avenue, Downers Grove

TWO MEN AND A TRUCK Campaigns

Movers for Moms®

We had an extremely successful MOVERS FOR MOMS® 2022!!  We were able to collect close to ten large boxes of haircare, diapers, towels, and lotions for local mothers in need!  We have donated all the items to the Family Shelter Service (Family Shelter Service (metrofamily.org)).

THANK YOU to Lisle Kindercare, Lisle College Rd Kindercare, Seneca Lane Kindercare, Weber Road Kindercare, Woodridge North Kindercare, and Creative World School in Plainfield!!!

The system-wide TWO MEN AND A TRUCK® family also partner with local shelters to run our own giving programs for those in need. Please visit the main website for further information on these nationwide campaigns.

Stay tuned for our next annual campaign beginning in November, MOVERS FOR MOMS®, benefitting the Hinsdale Humane Society.

Local Partners

AMERICAN CANCER SOCIETY

System wide, the national charity of choice is the American Cancer Society.  By donating 10 cents of every move, more than $500,000 has been given to American Cancer Society programs in cities where franchises are located.

FAMILY SHELTER SERVICE

We volunteer our services to local victims of domestic abuse through Family Shelter Service, located in Downers Grove. The service offers help and hope to those affected by domestic violence. Family Shelter Service provides needed help to families throughout the Chicago western suburbs.

FRIENDS OF THE LIBRARY

We recently sponsored a putt putt green at the 2018 Mini Golf FUN Raiser sponsored by the Yorkville Public Library.  We had a lot of fun decorating our spot and meeting all the golfers! Over $5,000 was raised this year to help fund the purchase of children's books and library programs.

GREEN HARVEST FOOD PANTRY

Several times a year, we transport bags donated by Durabag in Alsip to the food pantry located in Plainfield. Green Harvest Food Pantry is a non-profit organization that serves the working poor in Plainfield, Oswego, Yorkville, Montgomery, and Yorkville, among other towns. Recipients are given about a weeks' worth of food every month for six months. Gree Harvest Food Pantry is a non-profit organization that does not charge for its services.

SHARE YOUR SOLES

Each spring we transport loads of shoes for a local elementary school, aiding them in their Share Your Soles donation program. The mission of Share Your Soles is to provide gently worn and new shoes to those in need around the world. It collects shoes from all over the Chicagoland area.
