How much does it cost to complete a home move?
Getting ready for a home move can leave you with a lot of questions, from determining how to get your items packed up to setting a move date and how you’ll get your belongings to your new home.
Your Joliet "Movers Who Care®"
TWO MEN AND A TRUCK® Joliet is dedicated to the core values that we strive to achieve every day. Giving Back To The Community, THE GRANDMA RULE® and Being The Best We Can Be while having fun get us up and going every single day. We are proud members of the Illinois Movers' and Warehousemen's Association in addition to being accredited by the Better Business Bureau.
Through the year we find ways to give back. Our fall event this year was Movers for Military.
Our military veterans are often homeless and in need of shelter and support. The National Coalition for Homeless Veterans tell us that nearly a third of the homeless adult population are indeed veterans. We want to help those who have fought for our freedoms.
As MOVERS WHO CARE® our Joliet Movers launched a collection drive to provide essential items to Midwest Shelter For Homeless Veterans. Local community organizations graciously agreed to collect the needed items. With the help of Greater LaGrange YMCA, Elmhurst YMCA, Berwyn Public Library , Morgan Stanley, Orland Park, Orland Township , Joliet Public Library , and Shorewood-Troy Public Library over 600 items were delivered in time for Thanksgiving. Thanks so much to all who contributed.

Last spring TWO MEN AND A TRUCK® embarked on our 10th year of collecting donations for Battered Women and families. Participating in Movers for Moms® is one of the highlights at TWO MEN AND A TRUCK® Joliet. Our recipient shelter this year was Family Shelter Service. Over 295,00 necessary items were collected nationwide and delivered in time for Mothers Day.
Besides the participating in the nationwide TWO MEN AND A TRUCK® Movers for Moms® effort, we regularly donate boxes to local churches and perform charity services for other worthy organizations.
The success of Movers for Moms® prompted us to get involved with another great cause: The fight against breast cancer. In October 2014, we raised $1,000 by donating $5 for every Customer Response card we received from completed moves. The money was given to the local American Cancer Society.
At TWO MEN AND A TRUCK® Joliet, we do not just talk the talk – we walk the walk! That holds true with our moving and packing services, as well as our dedication to helping improve the lives of everyone in the community we serve. The feelings of accomplishment we get by helping a charitable organization is hard to describe.
When it comes to community involvement, we have donated more than 100 hours of moving time in 2014. When ‘Make Your Mark’- The Mark Staehely Pediatric Cancer Foundation reached out to our Shorewood, Illinois location for assistance in moving 300 boxes of donated toys to local children’s hospitals, we did not hesitate. The next year, we helped them out again, and even donated boxes so the toys would arrive in perfect condition and ready for play! It is easy to say we helped them out, but really, they helped US out by reminding everyone involved of the importance of caring and showing the world why we are “Movers Who Care®”.
