TWO MEN AND A TRUCK | Crystal Lake was honored to help sponsor The Big Fall Swing annual golf outing, benefiting Big Brother Big Sisters of McHenry County. It was a beautiful day on the links at Boulder Ridge County Club in Lake in the Hills. Several members of our management team were able to make it out for the event. It was a great day for a great cause!

Word on the street is that we made the Nice List again this year. Maybe it’s the way we treat our customers like we would our own Grandmas. Or because we lent a few extra hands helping local seniors decorate for the holidays. Whatever good deeds landed us there, we’re excited about the holiday season!

Midwest winters can be dreary at times, but TWO MEN AND A TRUCK Crystal Lake is spreading a little sunshine to local seniors. We’ve been scheduling Customer Appreciation Days at senior living communities throughout the area to help with odd jobs (think flipping mattresses, re-arranging furniture, getting things in and out of storage…). We love to help when we can, and the residents enjoy checking things off their to-do lists. Community love for the win!

At TWO MEN AND A TRUCK Crystal Lake, we are proud to be part of such a caring community. We recently organized our annual MOVERS FOR MUTTS® donation drive to support all the important things they do at Anderson Humane in South Elgin and Helping Paws Animal Shelter in Woodstock; the response was truly heartwarming. Thanks to the kindness and generosity of our community partners and their patrons, over 850 much-needed items were collected, including pet food, blankets, toys, and cleaning supplies. Every year we are amazed by this collective effort to help our furry friends. A huge THANKS goes out to everyone who contributed this year!

Movers for Moms® is in full swing during the month of April! With the help of our community partners, our Crystal Lake office will be collecting essential items and gifts to be delivered to local shelters in honor of Mother’s Day. First launched in 2007, this annual donation drive is one of our favorite traditions. Check our Facebook and Instagram pages for details, including wish-lists and drop-off locations. All donations will go directly to Turning Point of McHenry and Mutual Ground in Aurora. Huge thanks to both the Fox Valley Park District and the Batavia Park District for including TWO MEN AND A TRUCK® in their recent Touch-A-Truck events. The weather cooperated, and families came out to explore different trucks and vehicles from around the community. There were police and fire, a dump truck, tractors, and even a trolley! Our moving truck proved to be a favorite among the little ones. TWO MEN AND A TRUCK driver, Rocky, played games and helped stack – and knock down – moving boxes. In-Home Consultant, Neil, handed out Truckie tattoos and MOVERS FOR MUTTS® coloring pages, among other goodies. We had such fun and were so happy we were able to attend!

Helping families in need within our community is very important to us. Our experience with Toys For Tots has been wonderful.  We've been lucky enough to assist them with their donation box collection, toy sorting and distribution to the children. Seeing the excitement of a child in need choosing their own brand new toy for Christmas bring more joy to us than the child will ever get from the toy.

During the Christmas holiday season, it brings great joy to set up and take down Christmas trees within the Holmstad community.  Every year the residents await our arrival and watch us as we assemble about 20 artificial Christmas trees. They are always so excited to see us and we are excited to be able to help. Seeing their smiling faces every year is priceless.
