Carol Stream Gives Back To The Community

Carol Stream Movers consistently work hard at their jobs but they also consistently reach out to those in need in our surrounding communities. The core values of integrity, caring, and, being the best you can be, go hand in hand with the desire to give back to the community.

The ideals that inspire our dedication allow us to grow and have more resources to give back to the communities we serve. We are proud members of local organizations; including The Wheaton Chamber of Commerce, The Elmhurst Chamber of Commerce, and, the Illinois Movers and Warehousemen’s Association. We are also accredited by The Better Business Bureau.

Movers for Military

We have found a way to give back to those who have given so much to our country. Many of our military veterans are homeless or in great need of support. Veterans Day is a time to thank our veterans for their sacrifice and service to our country. Tragic statistics from the National Coalition for Homeless Veterans state that about one third of adult homeless population in the Us is veterans.

To show our appreciation to veterans past and present Veterans Day 2017; TWO MEN AND A TRUCK Carol Stream hosted its Movers for Military collection drive to provide essential items to homeless veterans. Local business and community organizations are taking part in collecting donations for the Midwest Shelter For Homeless Veterans in Wheaton, Illinois. We partnered with Greater LaGrange YMCA,  Elmhurst YMCABerwyn Public Library, Morgan Stanley, Orland TownshipJoliet Public Library, and  Shorewood-Troy Public Library    Over 600 essential items were delivered just in time for Thanksgiving.  Thanks so much to all who contributed.

Movers for Moms®

In addition to getting involved in civic minded events, TWO MEN AND A TRUCK® runs several charitable events each year. This was our 10th year for Movers for Moms®.

Besides participating in the nationwide Movers for Moms® campaign, in which we collected essential care items for moms living in domestic abuse or homeless shelters around the time of Mother’s Day, we regularly donate boxes to local churches, perform charity moves for the Midwest Homeless Veterans Shelter, and donate our time to other worthy organizations locally.

What an incredible year it was for the Movers for Moms® program! Thanks to the generosity of all who so kindly donated and supported, 295,000 essential care items were collected for moms in need and delivered just in time for Mother's Day 2017! We were proud to donate the items collected in our area to Family Shelter Service in Wheaton.
