BUILDING STRONGER COMMUNITIES TOGETHER

At TWO MEN AND A TRUCK, Giving back to the community is at the heart of what we do. We believe in giving back and making a positive impact in the communities we serve.

A Legacy of Giving

Since the inception of TWO MEN AND A TRUCK, our founder Mary Ellen Sheets thought it was important to give back. Dan and Rene Shunk, have continued that commitment to giving back to the community. When they started our franchise in Champaign, it became a priority to continue this tradition.

More than an Address

We understand that being a part of a community means more than just having a presence. It means actively engaging with the people and organizations that make it thrive. We are proud to be Central Illinois' Movers Who Care, who not only provide exceptional service but also work hand-in-hand with community members to make a difference.

Supporting Charitable Causes

Since 2010, TWO MEN AND A TRUCK Central Illinois has donated over $175,000 worth of charity moves. We are committed to supporting charitable organizations and individuals who need assistance in relocating. Our goal is to alleviate some of the stress associated with moving so that these organizations can focus on their important work.

Your Partner in Community Service

Movers for Meals®

Movers For Meals®: Partnering to Fight Hunger

Together, we can turn moving day into an opportunity to fight hunger in Champaign-Urbana.

TWO MEN AND A TRUCK® is proud to support Eastern Illinois Foodbank  through our annual Movers For Meals® program. From September 15 – October 18, we collect non-perishable food donations to help families facing food insecurity right here in our community.

How It Works

  • During Your Move: Set aside any unopened, non-perishable food items you don’t plan to take with you. Let your moving team know, and we’ll handle the rest—collecting your donations and delivering them directly to the food bank.

  • Not Moving? You can still help. Call our Champaign office, and we’ll arrange a convenient porch pickup of your donation.

What to Donate

Canned vegetables, beans, soups, meats, or fish
Pasta, rice, cereal, and grains
Peanut butter and other shelf-stable items

- Please avoid perishable, frozen, or opened items

Why It Matters

Right now, thousands of people in Champaign County are food insecure—including children. By donating what you don’t need, you’re helping fill shelves at Eastern Illinois Foodbank and ensuring our neighbors have access to meals.
