Twin Falls Community Involvement

Featured Community Service

Movers for Moms®

At TWO MEN AND A TRUCK, giving back to the community is a huge part of what we do as a brand. TWO MEN AND A TRUCK Founder Mary Ellen Sheets donated the first $1,000 of company profits to 10 local charities in the Lansing, Mich., area. This set the tone for how our franchises would continue giving back to their communities after all these years. One of our most successful giving campaigns is a program called MOVERS FOR MOMS®. TWO MEN AND A TRUCK locations partner with various organizations in their communities to set up collection sites where people can donate essential care items, which are then donated to moms living in women’s and family shelters on or around Mother’s Day. This is an important cause for us, and we’re working on growing the reach of MOVERS FOR MOMS® each year to give back to even more moms who need it most.

TWO MEN AND A TRUCK® Twin Falls is kicking off MOVERS FOR MOMS® an annual collection drive we organize, benefiting Valley House to help local women who are in homeless shelters. We want moms to know they are remembered and supported on Mother's Day. Each year we partner with Magic Valley businesses, and organizations to make this possible. With the help of our community, we would like to be able to deliver hundreds of critical care items and gifts to women at Valley House. The collection drive runs April 15 - May 3, 2024.

Valley House is a community funded non-profit and has been a community partner for 28 years serving the Magic Valley. Valley House provides provisional housing to low income, disadvantaged, motivated homeless persons. In addition to shelter we help our clients with clothing, food, educational classes, and employment resources. Valley House Homeless Shelter is a "Hand up, not a Hand out".

In 2023, Valley House provided  the following support :

  • 74,000 nights of shelter given
  • 2400 food boxes handed out
  • more than 4000 Magic Valley community members assisted,
  • 1056 of those were children
  • 78 children currently live at Valley House
  • 2023 saw 700 first time people needing help.

“Two Men and a Truck, Twin Falls is a champion of Valley House Homeless Shelter and the people who live there.  Employees of Two Men and a Truck often volunteer their time at the shelter helping wherever needed! They continue to champion those who work here and those who live here, making the lives of women and children better by helping get the donations needed.” -Kim Spiers, Director

TWO MEN AND A TRUCK Campaigns

Movers for Mutts®

This year, TWO MEN AND A TRUCK Twin Falls is partnering with Grocery Outlet, D&B Supply, Albertson’s and Fred Meyer, and other local businesses to benefit People For Pets Humane Society. These locations will serve as drop-off points for the collection of essential pet items. The Collection Drive will run from September 1 - September 30.

Pets are considered an important part of any family, but this fall, many pets living in animal shelters could use the community’s support in securing adequate amounts of food, toys, and everyday living essentials for pets in need of their forever home.

Eye-opening statistics from the ASPCA reveal that approximately 6.5 million companion animals enter U.S. animal shelters nationwide every year. Each year, approximately 1.5 million animals are euthanized.

People for Pets is a grassroots Humane Society founded in 1986 by a handful of concerned citizens who wanted to improve the lives of stray, lost, and abandoned pets in the  Magic Valley. Thirty-seven years later we have accomplished this goal operating with a 90%+ adoption/return to owner rate.

“We have a great partnership with TWO MEN AND A TRUCK. They have helped our shelter on several occasions, pro bono, to unload very heavy shipments. They have done this without pre-notice. We are very grateful to have such a positive helpful business in our city.” – Debbie Blackwood, Director
