Movers for Moms®

At TWO MEN AND A TRUCK, giving back to the community is a huge part of what we do as a brand. TWO MEN AND A TRUCK Founder Mary Ellen Sheets donated the first $1,000 of company profits to 10 local charities in the Lansing, Mich., area. This set the tone for how our franchises would continue giving back to their communities after all these years. Check out our local story on Two Men and a Truck collecting donations for homeless moms this Mother's Day (kivitv.com)(opens in a new window)

One of our most successful giving campaigns is a program called MOVERS FOR MOMS®. TWO MEN AND A TRUCK locations partner with various organizations in their communities to set up collection sites where people can donate essential care items, which are then donated to moms living in women’s and family shelters on or around Mother’s Day. This is an important cause for us, and we’re working on growing the reach of MOVERS FOR MOMS® each year to give back to even more moms who need it most.

TWO MEN AND A TRUCK® Twin Falls is kicking off MOVERS FOR MOMS® an annual collection drive we organize, benefiting Valley House to help local women who are in homeless shelters. We want moms to know they are remembered and supported on Mother's Day. Each year we partner with Magic Valley businesses, and organizations to make this possible. With the help of our community, we would like to be able to deliver hundreds of critical care items and gifts to women at Valley House. The collection drive runs April 18 - May 5, 2025.

This year we are partnering with Fred Meyer in Twin Falls to host a one-day collection drive on April 25th from 10 AM - 5 PM. Our volunteers will be at the entrance to the store. We encourage the community to drop off donations at our table.

Valley House is a community funded non-profit and has been a community partner for 30 years serving the Magic Valley. Valley House provides provisional housing to low income, disadvantaged, motivated homeless persons. In addition to shelter we help our clients with clothing, food, educational classes, and employment resources. Valley House Homeless Shelter is a "Hand up, not a Hand out".

In 2024, Valley House provided  the following support :

  • 74,081 nights of shelter
  • 208 families housed
  • 898 individual adults housed
  • 1513 children sheltered
  • 2122 food boxes distributed
  • 106 households successfully transitioned into stable housing

“TWO MEN AND A TRUCK® Twin Falls has come alongside the shelter assisting in moving us into our newest facility, helping our clients move their possessions from the shelter into new housing, helping our maintenance team get new appliances moved in. Having TWO MEN AND A TRUCK® Twin Falls collecting donations and sharing the needs of the women residents at Valley House is an incredible blessing!  Without community partners supporting the shelter the needs here would not be met. We are incredibly thankful for the local Two Men and a Truck team!” Kim Spiers – Assistant Director Valley House

TWO MEN AND A TRUCK Campaigns

Movers for Mutts®

UPDATE OF COLLECTION DRIVE

TWO MEN AND A TRUCK®, Twin Falls, would like to send a big thank you to the Magic Valley community for all the generous donations to this year's Movers For Mutts® campaign. We are pleased to report that we received thousands of items, and over 2,500 lbs of dog and cat pet food. The donations will help the shelter care for more pets and restock their pantry to help those in need keep their pets in their homes. Thank you again!!!!!

This year, TWO MEN AND A TRUCK Twin Falls is partnering with People For Pets to run a Collection Drive from September 16 - September 21st. Donations can be dropped off all week at 420 Victory Avenue, Twin Falls. The Magic Valley community helped donate hundreds of pounds of food last year and we would like to ask for your help again this year.

Pets are considered an important part of any family, but this fall, many pets living in animal shelters could use the community’s support in securing adequate amounts of food, toys, and everyday living essentials for pets in need of their forever home. Eye-opening statistics from the ASPCA reveal that approximately 6.5 million companion animals enter U.S. animal shelters nationwide every year. Each year, approximately 1.5 million animals are euthanized.

People for Pets is a grassroots Humane Society founded in 1986 by a handful of concerned citizens who wanted to improve the lives of stray, lost, and abandoned pets in the  Magic Valley. Thirty-seven years later we have accomplished this goal operating with a 90%+ adoption/return to owner rate.

“We have a great partnership with TWO MEN AND A TRUCK. They have helped our shelter on several occasions, pro bono, to unload very heavy shipments. They have done this without pre-notice. We are very grateful to have such a positive helpful business in our city.” – Debbie Blackwood, Director
