Macon Community Involvement

Every year during the spring, we participate in an annual campaign called MOVERS FOR MOMS®. We use our moving trucks to collect donations for women and children who are unfortunate victims of domestic abuse. On or before Mother’s Day, we deliver them to local women’s and family shelters. These donations consist of items such as clothing, furniture, and household goods that truly help take care of women and children. There is no better feeling than being able to help families in need. The process of getting other businesses involved and willing to participate is rewarding. The campaign really helps to build relationships and make the community stronger. Giving back to the community is another one of our favorite core values!

TWO MEN AND A TRUCK® is thankful for 41 NBC allowing us to spread the word about our MOVERS FOR MOMS® campaign!  This will be our second year partnering with the Rescue Mission of Middle Georgia. We were able to collect close to 1,000 items last year and aim to more than double that this year. We are collecting items up until Mother's Day and we will deliver the following week. The donations help to provide for women and children who are victims of domestic abuse. They currently need feminine products, larger trash cans, cleaning supplies, dish sponges, and toiletries. They also accept furniture and lightly used or new clothing.

We were honored to recently partner with One Warm Coat, helping them deliver 24 pallets of donated coats and jackets to First Choice Primary Care in Macon. First Choice Primary Care is a non-profit community health center that works to provide quality care to insured, uninsured, and underserved individuals in the area. One Warm Coat works to provide free coats to children and adults in need.

We were happy to use our trucks and moving teams to help both of these causes for the second year in a row, and we hope to work with these wonderful organizations again in the future!

The Rescue Mission of Middle Georgia, whose mission is to provide a faith-based life recovery program for men and women dealing with addiction, domestic violence, sexual abuse, poverty, homelessness, and other life hurts.

We have partnered with Rescue Mission of the Middle Georgia to be our recipient of our Movers for Moms® donations for 4 years now. We collect clothing and essential care items that are donated to moms living in women’s and family shelters on or around Mother’s Day. We also collect furniture items that help support their Barn Center furniture store. We make every attempt to focus on their most important needs for donations!
