Giving Back to the Community
Kick of the Fall the right way with our TWO MEN AND A TRUCK Movers for Mutts® campaign and support local shelters in need. Check out our Facebook page to stay up to date on all of our events for the campaign from now through November.
At TWO MEN AND A TRUCK® Pensacola, sustainability is very important to us. We strive to help our community and in turn, their support helps us sustain our business. Because of our belief in this, we have supported many causes, organizations, local churches, and toy drives. Our Movers for Moms® program, which collects essential care items for mothers in need, is a national campaign we participate in annually to support mothers and families right here within the local community. We are also excited to support local animal shelters with our national campaign Movers for Mutts® this fall. On top of our National Campaigns we will be hosting our First Annual Touch - A - Truck Event to Benefit our local Children's Hospital this November!
In May of 2019, we took our Movers for Moms® program to a whole new level for our location. We partnered with local businesses like Duke and Stella Boutique to bring fundraising events to the community and give people the chance to help us give back to a local women's shelter. At the end of our campaign, we were able to donate over 1,000 items to FavorHouse of Northwest Florida along with special goody bags of pampering items for the women currently in the shelter.
In September of 2017 we saw a community wide effort of collecting items for Hurricane Harvey and that effort led to us lending a helping hand again after Hurricane Michael struck so close to home in 2018. With the help of Convoy of Hope, St. Rose of Lima Catholic Church in Milton and more we were able to send more than 5 truck loads of items to aid in the relief efforts for the Panama City area.
TWO MEN AND A TRUCK Campaigns
Movers for Moms®
One of our core values we each day is giving back to the community. Movers for Moms® is a way for TWO MEN AND A TRUCK to appreciate the efforts of mothers everywhere and is the company’s national cause marketing campaign held each spring. Several local businesses also support the program by donating items or serving as drop-off locations. We are happy to announce we will be partnering with FavorHouse for our campaign this year. If you are interested in becoming a collection partner, please contact our office. We would love your help!
Our current donation collection partners are : First Bank Pace, Sweet Rolls Pensacola, Duke & Stella Boutique and First Bank Pensacola. Donations can be delivered to any of our collection sites through May 6th.
CRAM THE VAN
Cram the Van, the school district approved supply drive, usually kicks off in the start of June for the upcoming school year. Serving the Pensacola area since the late 90's, Cram the Van provides schools with the tools necessary to succeed and reduces the stress on teachers who spend their own money to supplement materials in the classroom. In Escambia County, 61 percent of our students are eligible for free or reduced lunches. By combining resources, our community can show a united effort as it supports our schools to ensure a brighter future.
Last year, our generous community distributed more than $70,000 in school supplies to more than 60 area schools, helping over 9,000 children in need. Over 35 local businesses held collection drives or donated supplies, including TWO MEN AND A TRUCK® Pensacola!
