Giving back, it's what we do!
In the spirit of giving back to the communities in which we serve and live, we continue to align with local charities, including Kids In Crisis, as well as national efforts, such as TWO MEN AND A TRUCK®’s own Movers for Moms® and Movers for Military program. We have been part of The Movers for Moms® campaign since 2010 and have been successful in collecting over 25,000 items within the past four years. These donations help women in need throughout our local community, including those living in shelters in Stamford, Danbury, Norwalk, and Bridgeport. We are grateful to our generous collection partners in the community who have graciously supported our collection efforts.
Movers for Moms®
TWO MEN AND A TRUCK® of Fairfield County supports Movers for Moms® collecting donations for local women and family shelters for delivery on Mother’s Day. The purpose of the program is to recognize those moms living in shelters this Mother’s Day by arranging delivery of small gifts for women who are victims of domestic abuse or homelessness. 2018 will mark the 6th year for our Movers for Moms® program. The donations we are accepting are basic toiletries such as soaps, hair styling products, shampoos and conditioners, pillows, blankets, slippers, robes, etc. In most cases, shelters’ will provide a list of specific needs. Partnering organizations can begin collecting at any time, but the collection typically runs from late March through the Friday before Mother’s Day. TWO MEN AND A TRUCK® Fairfield will pick up and deliver the collected items to partnering women’s shelters before Mother’s Day —- Mother’s Day is Sunday, May 13, 2018. TWO MEN AND A TRUCK® has women in key leadership roles across the nation and internationally, and some of our most successful franchisees are women, so the idea for Movers for Moms® came to us naturally.
Movers for Military
TWO MEN AND A TRUCK® Of Fairfield County supports Movers for Military. The annual program is called Movers for Military with a mission of giving back to veterans and their families living in crisis this Veterans Day. In its fifth year, the national program continues to grow and gain additional success. In 2015, the program collected more than 20,000 donations for veterans across the country staying in hundreds of shelters.
Having the support of local organizations and schools is crucial to our ability to serve veterans in need. The Movers for Military objective is to provide homeless veterans and their families living in shelters with essential everyday items such as shampoo, food, clothing, etc. These items help make a difference for homeless veterans and their families, who deserve so much for defending our freedoms every day. TWO MEN AND A TRUCK® Fairfield partners with local schools, businesses, and other organizations starting early October leading up to Veterans Day, Friday, November 11.

Kids In Crisis
Kids in Crisis is a charity that provides 24-hour support to help families and children resolve conflict. We have supported the Kids in Crisis Triathlon event for five years. Last year ten of our employees generously donated their time and effort to help ensure the success of this event. We’ll continue to seek out organizations, like Kids in Crisis, as we live out our core value, “give back to the community.”
Two Men and a Truck Assists Those in Need
In order to help break the cycle of homelessness in Fairfield County, TWO MEN AND A TRUCK donated their time, manpower, and equipment to pick up and move donated furniture that was given to clients of Inspirica Inc. Inspirica, who assists individuals and families who are at risk of being homeless, recognized TWO MEN AND A TRUCK in their weekly newsletter for all the hard work and effort they put into the furniture move!
TWO MEN AND A TRUCK HELPS KIDS IN CRISIS
This year was our sixth year assisting Kids In Crisis with their annual Stamford Triathlon event! Kids in Crisis is an emergency shelter and support service for children and families in Fairfield County. Our men supported this event by professionally moving and transporting event tents and barricades used throughout the race course. Here at TWO MEN AND A TRUCK, we love giving back to the community and its families by sharing our time and effort in any way that we can!
Two Men and a Truck Lights the Night
In October and November of 2018, TWO MEN AND A TRUCK donated our time, labor, and services to The Leukemia & Lymphoma Society (LLS) for their “Light The Night Walk for LLS”. The society’s main objective is to provide information, help, and support to patients and their families that have Leukemia and Lymphoma. Our movers helped by loading and unloading event materials for the walk and also storing them at the end of the event. We were honored to be a part of this cause and will definitely participate again in the years to come!
