Partnerships and Organizations

MOVERS FOR MOMS®

Through Movers for Moms®, each year TWO MEN AND A TRUCK® collects thousands of food and clothing items for its Movers for Moms® drive benefiting WEAVE, the primary provider of crisis intervention services for survivors of domestic violence and sexual assault in Sacramento County. The first year, we collected a slim 100 items, but last year we collected over 11,000! This year we aim to bring that to 15,000.

TWO MEN AND A TRUCK® started Movers for Moms® to ensure all moms are given the attention and appreciation they deserve on Mother's Day no matter what the circumstances. Movers for Moms® in Sacramento started in 2007 and has grown to cover the surrounding Sacramento region to include donation collection sites all over the greater Sacramento metropolitan area.

Local Partners

Alzheimer's Association

Formed in 1980, the Alzheimer's Association is the leading voluntary health organization in Alzheimer's care, support and research. We provide free moving services and labor for their annual event in July, primarily to set and dismantle their stage. We also attend the event with our mascot, Truckie, and help raise awareness by promoting them on our social media pages.

Elk Grove Community Food Bank

At the end of every year, we assist the Elk Grove Community Food Bank by sending our men and trucks to local schools all across Elk Grove to pick up hundreds of pounds of canned goods that are collected during their annual Kids Can Food Drive.

Habitat For Humanity

Founded in 1976 by Millard and Linda Fuller, Habitat for Humanity is a true world leader in addressing the issues of poor housing conditions. For them, we will assist in transporting the larger shipments of material needed for their larger-scale projects.

Make-A-Wish Foundation

The Make-A-Wish Foundation is a nonprofit organization who grants the wishes of children diagnosed with critical illnesses. We assist during 2-3 of their annual large-scale events. As an in-kind service, we send our men and trucks to transport supplies to their event locations. By supporting this great cause, we are able to move their organization forward.

Strategies To Empower People

Strategies To Empower People or S.T.E.P is an organization whose goal is to give those with mental or physical limitations a normal life by giving them resources for employment, and helping to find living accommodations. We supply moves as often as they need with a discount.

The Mentor Network

The Mentor Network is a collection of volunteers and staff that give anyone from children to adults exactly what they need - be that a caregiver, daycare for both children and the elderly, or assistance in finding living accommodations. We supply moves for them as often as they need with a discount. These moves are to move anyone they are helping into their own apartments or half-way homes.

WEAVE, Inc.

WEAVE, Inc. (Women Escaping A Violent Environment) is the primary provider of crisis intervention services to victims of domestic abuse and sexual assault in Sacramento County. We assist this great cause by running an annual donation event called "Movers For Moms®" where we collect thousands of units of essential care items and clothing to donate to their recipients, helping them get back on their feet. In 2017, we donated over 12,000 items.
