TWO MEN AND A TRUCK Campaigns
Movers for Moms®
TWO MEN AND A TRUCK® locations across the country collect donations for women every spring and deliver them to local women's and family shelters on or before Mother's Day. Franchises partner with local shelters, schools, and other community organizations to collect goods that will make Mother's Day special for moms living in shelters. 2016 marked our first annual Movers for Moms® campaign and we donated over 860 items to Elizabeth House, a local shelter housing and providing support to homeless pregnant women and their children.
We had a hugely successful collection drive this year, thanks to all of our community partners! We collected around 1200 items and donated them to mothers in need at Elizabeth House!
Movers for Military
We have kicked off our 2nd annual Movers for Military! Through the Movers for Military program, we aim to support homeless veterans by collecting essential care items and basic necessities and delivering them to a local shelter around Veterans Day. 2016 marked the first year that the Pasadena franchise provided critical support to the brave women and men who have sacrificed to protect our freedom. This year, we will again collect donations for New Directions for Veterans, a non-profit organization which serve homeless veterans in need. Some of their programs include: permanent and temporary housing, mental health services, substance abuse, and job assistance.
We are collecting the below wishlist items for our veterans in need:
- toiletries (razors, toothbrushes, toothpaste, shampoo, conditioner, etc.)
- new packs of socks, underwear, undershirts
- gift cards (target, walmart)
- shower shoes (flip flops)
- canned food items
- new pillows
- + anything else!
This year we have partnered with 20 locations to house our donation drop boxes for Movers for Military! Click here to find the location closest to you.
If you are interested in donating or are a business that would be interested in housing a donation drop box, please let us know! You can call us at our office or by emailing firstname.lastname@example.org.
