Concord Community Involvement

We are so excited to continue our charity partnership with the Extended Family Program of Walnut Creek United Methodist Church.

Lyn Goodness and her team are just wonderful people and provide a truly valuable service to the community.

The Extended Family works with the congregation to provide furniture and household items to previously homeless families and helps them move into their own home with dignity. The Extended Family partners with SHELTER, Inc. which locates their housing and the Extended Family program providing the household items.

We have partnered with Concord International Food Pantry to provide free labor and transport for this worthy community group on Thursday mornings. TWO MEN AND A TRUCK® is dedicated to giving back to our local community, and this is a great way to do it.

The holiday season can be a time of solitude for many. The "Be a Santa to a Senior" (BASTAS) initiative is a yearly service effort backed by Home Instead and supported by the Commission on Aging. It unites partners and volunteers during November and December to gather gift requests and names of disadvantaged seniors lacking the companionship, family, or resources to enjoy the festive period. The aim is to guarantee that each senior in need receives at least one elegantly wrapped holiday present.

We at TWO MEN AND A TRUCK® want our core value of THE GRANDMA RULE® to apply to ALL seniors, and we provide gifts for those in our area and encourage others to do so also.

Since its inception in 2007, we have actively participated in the national TWO MEN AND A TRUCK® program, MOVERS FOR MOMS®. Our involvement in this initiative has allowed us to contribute significantly to our community by supplying essential items to those in need. Collaborating with the local community, we have been dedicated to collecting vital care items specifically for mothers facing challenging circumstances. Thanks to the collective efforts of our community members, we have amassed thousands of household items that serve to support and care for mothers in need.

This year, we are supporting Help A Child Missions in Contra Costa County, who have served the Bay Area since 1984. They provide shelters, clothing, food, and, most importantly, hope through substance recovery, job training, and educational support. Please reach out to us for a wish list of items we hope to collect.

We are happy to announce we are a major sponsor of the Concord High School Athletics department - GO BEARS! Concord High School has an incredible athletics program, which promotes equity and diversity while encouraging school spirit.

They have an incredible spirit and always place the academic, emotional, physical and moral needs of the students before all. We are so proud to be partnered with the school, and we are here for the Bears in all their endeavors.
