TWO MEN AND A TRUCK Campaigns

Movers for Military

Veteran’s Day is a time to honor the courageous men and women who have proudly served our country. Unfortunately, many veterans are experiencing tough times and need the help of local shelters. As the “Movers Who Care®", TWO MEN AND A TRUCK® aims to provide critical assistance to local veterans in crisis with a program called Movers for Military® – a collection of essential items that will be delivered to veterans living at local shelters during Veteran’s Day. TWO MEN AND A TRUCK Chico plans on partnering with local businesses, schools, and companies to collect items and then donate them to local shelters on or around Veterans day.

This campaign wrapped up December 20th! We thank all of the following organizations and businesses that participated

Movers for Moms®

Movers For Moms® is a campaign that TWO MEN AND A TRUCK participates in every year on or around Mother's Day to collect donations for local women and family shelters that may not have access to or be unable to obtain necessary products. We partner with local community organizations to collect donations, then TWO MEN AND A TRUCK deliver the collected items to a local shelter.

This year, we were able to collect over 800 items! All donations will be given to the Torres Community Shelter in Chico to help local moms in need this Mother's Day.

HABITAT FOR HUMANITY RESTORE

Our team helped with the Oxford Suites remodel, for its hotel renovation. We moved furniture from the Oxford Suites to Habitat for Humanity ReStore, which includes couches, beds, dressers, lamps, mirrors, chairs, entertainment centers and desks. This day took 6 trucks, 12 men and 9 hours of moving! TWO MEN AND A TRUCK® has donated our moving services.

Mercy Foundation

Mercy Foundation's Home for the Holidays, recognizes how important hospice is in allowing patients to remain in their homes surrounded by loved ones and also acknowledges that we will be unable to gather for a beautiful gala this year. This fundraiser will take place during the entire month of November which is National Hospice Month and will support all three hospices. Thank you so much for your in-kind donation of Moving Labor and Moving Trucks for Delivery of Christmas trees to support the Hospice program at Mercy Medical Center Redding.

Hospice relies on community support to fund services for patients with little or no health insurance. Care is primarily based in the home, allowing patients to live out their final days with dignity, free of suffering, at peace, and surrounded by those they love. Your donation helps relieve many Hospice families of financial stress during their time of need.

We hope you share our joy in knowing that your support keeps the Sisters of Mercy's mission alive!
