At TWO MEN AND A TRUCK, we like to say that moving is what we do, but giving back to the community is who we are, and one of our favorite ways of giving back is through Movers for Moms®!
Each spring, all TWO MEN AND A TRUCK locations work with local businesses, schools, and organizations to set up collection sites for people to donate essential care items, which are then donated to women and families living in shelters or those who need some extra assistance. Franchises work with a shelter in their area and then coordinate with community partners to help collect donations. Once Mother’s Day comes around, the franchises deliver the collected items to the shelter to be distributed to those in need.
This program is now in its 18th year, and over that span, we have collected over two million essential care items to be donated!
2025 was another successful run of Movers for Moms®. We set a goal of collecting 450,000 donation items and ended up with a total of 528,039 – well surpassing our intended goal!
TWO MEN AND A TRUCK franchises were able to partner with 1,622 different businesses, schools, and other community collection sites across the United States, which was a 15 percent increase in community partners from 2024. The top three locations for collection Movers for Moms® donations were:
- Sioux Falls, South Dakota (200,000 items)
- Jacksonville, Florida (20,000 items)
- Reno, Nevada (18,850 items)
This year, TWO MEN AND A TRUCK locations in Canada were able to run Movers for Moms® for the first time as well. Across the franchises up north, they were able to collect an additional 6,264 items across 35 different collection sites. We’re looking forward to seeing our franchises continue to bring the positive impacts of Movers for Moms® to Canada in the future!
