The TWO MEN NAD A TRUCK 2025 Boxtume series rolls on, and today, we’re doing a throwback to the spring and summer months when the weather was good and the sun was shining with our Flower Pot boxtume creation!
For those not familiar, “boxtumes” are TWO MEN AND A TRUCK’s take on fun, D.I.Y. costume ideas which can be made from old moving boxes and easy-to-obtain supplies to create an affordable costume for the Halloween season. This is something we do every year, and we’re excited to bring you another set of ideas for the 2025 season!

Now, let’s get started on this Flower Pot!
Step 1: Your first step is to take a medium-sized box and a pencil, and free-hand the shape of a flowerpot. Once the shape is all set take a boxcutter and cut out the shape.
Step 2: Your next step is to pick out which color poster board for your flowerpot. We went with a gold/brown.
Step 3: Take your cardboard flowerpot and trace it on the poster board. Once you finish tracing it you can then cut it out.
Step 4: After you cut out the flowerpot on the poster board take a black sharpie or whatever color matches best and outline the sides.
Step 5: Next glue the poster board onto the box. Once it’s finished drying you can take fake or real flowers and glue them to the back of the box where there isn’t poster board. That way the flowers stick better.
Step 6: When everything is dry, flip your flowerpot over and cut out some heavy-duty string. Glue the string to each side of the top of the box to create a “necklace” like effect so the kids can wear it. Once it’s dry, it’s ready for the kids to wear!
