We’re already into the second week of October, which means Halloween is quickly approaching on the calendar!
If you haven’t been following along, we’re in the process of unveiling our 2025 Halloween “Boxtume” series, and we’ve already dropped two creations on the blog: a Rock, Paper, Scissors costume and a Flower Pot costume, which can be viewed here!
Boxtumes are TWO MEN AND A TRUCK’s take on fun, D.I.Y. costume ideas for the Halloween season, which can usually be made from old moving boxes and easy-to-obtain supplies around your house. These are meant to be low effort but tons of fun, as you work together and build a costume to get you ready for the 31st!
So, let’s get to work on the third edition of our 2025 boxtume series with this Fish Tank costume!
Step 1: Take a small or medium-sized box, depending on who is wearing the boxtume, and cut off the top and bottom flaps.
Step 2: Now, on each side of the box, cut out a square shape so it’s an empty casing.
Step 3: Choose colored duct tape and wrap it around the rest of the box.
Step 4: Now, take the blue ribbon that looks like “water” and glue it to the inside of the box on the four sides.
Step 5: You can now print out some fish or create them by hand. Once you have your fish, take some glue or tape and add it onto the blue ribbon.
