Halloween is next week, and the time to find a costume for the big day is quickly approaching!
If you haven’t found what to wear yet, it might be time to try creating a costume, and we have you covered with our TWO MEN AND A TRUCK “boxtume” ideas! If you’re not familiar – boxtume costumes are TWO MEN AND A TRUCK’s spin on fun, D.I.Y. projects that can be made with moving boxes and easy-to-obtain supplies you can find around the house or at the store.
We do this every year, and we’ve already unveiled three new ones this year: Rock, Paper Scissors, a Fish Tank, and a Flower Pot.
Today, have a new idea for you, this one is perfect for those who love music and enjoy dancing: a DJ Table!
Step 1: Take a picture frame box and cover the top and sides with poster board. Get creative and pick any colors you like!
Step 2: Now, take a medium-sized box and trace out two circles, as these will act as your turntables. Make sure to also trace out two cartridges, as they will attach to the turntables. Once those are traced, you’re all set to cut them out.
Step 3: For your next step, take your two circles and cover them with duct tape. Now, glue them onto the top of the box.
Step 4: While the “turntables” are drying, cover the two cartridges with construction paper. Once they’re dry, you can glue them to the box and the “turntables”.
Step 5: Now, it’s time to think of what your DJ name will be while you pick out the color of the poster board. Once you pick out the poster board and have a name in mind, you can use letter stickers to write out the name or free hand it with a marker. Once you have the name on the paper, you can glue or tape it onto the front of the box.
Step 6: We’re almost done! Take some heavy-duty string and turn and glue each side of the string to the back end of the box to create a “necklace” effect.
