“Boxtumes” are easy, DIY-friendly Halloween costumes that can be made from simple boxes (like our moving boxes) and supplies around the house. If you think this costume is the one for you, check out the steps below on how to bring this creation to life for Halloween fun and beyond.
Directions
Step 1: Your first step is to take a medium-sized box and a pencil, and free-hand the shape of a jersey. Once you’re done creating the jersey shape, cut it out.
Step 2: Next, use another medium-sized box and trace the jersey you just cut out. This will act as the back of your jersey. After you’re done tracing, take your boxcutter and cut out the second jersey piece.
Step 3: When the front and back of the jersey are cut out, take any color poster board, and fit it to the jersey, then glue it on.
Step 4: Once the glue is dried, decorate the jersey however you like. We used colored markers and printed out a photo for the front of our jersey.
Step 5: If you want to decorate the back, take number and letter stickers and stick them right on. Or you can freehand this with a marker!
Step 6: When everything is dry, flip your jerseys over so that you can see the original box, and glue ribbon to the tops of each jersey, that way, it will go right over their shoulders!
