Halloween is just a day away! This Halloween season, we’ve promoted our new “boxtume” costume ideas, but today, we’re changing up the box creation to show off something a little different: a candy basket!
This next creation isn’t a costume but is perfect if you’re looking for a basket to go trick-or-treating with or need a bowl to hand out candy. Below you will find step-by-step instructions on how to create your own candy box and a video showing how it’s done.
Step 1: To create your own candy box you will need a day of the move box, paint, paintbrushes, and candy of course!
Step 2: Once you have gathered all your supplies, pick a few paint colors and take a large paint brush and paint the outside of the box and handles.
Step 3: When the whole box is dry, take a small paintbrush and decorate the box with pumpkins, ghosts, or whatever design you want. You can even add “Trick or Treat” or “Happy Halloween”.
Step 4: Let the paint completely dry and then if needed, touch up any spots that need to be fixed.
Step 5: Add in your candy! You can use this as a candy bowl at home or use it as a bucket for when you go out trick-or-treating.
