Community Service in Minneapolis
TWO MEN AND A TRUCK Campaigns
Movers for Moms
Each year, we partner with other community-minded businesses and organizations during our Movers for Moms® campaign. Together, we collected hundreds of essential care items for mothers in domestic abuse or homeless shelters, just in time for Mother’s Day. If your business would like to help collect items, please contact Jessica Quandt for more information.
TWO MEN AND A TRUCK® Minneapolis Northwest donated our moving services to help Cheeriodicals deliver hundreds of “Big Green Boxes of Cheer” to the Masonic Children’s Hospital at the University of Minnesota and St. Paul Children’s Hospital. Cheeriodicals works with organizations for corporate team building events. During the event, the company comes together and builds hundreds of cheer boxes. We’re so honored to be part of such a wonderful organization!
For over 30 years, Cornerstone staff have been serving adults and children traumatized by unhealthy, destructive relationships based on power and control. Throughout our history, they have dedicated themselves to helping people build healthy and violence-free lives for themselves and their families. Every spring we run our Movers for Moms campaign to collect donations and deliver them to the women of Cornerstone. We work with local community organizations to collect goods that will make Mother’s Day extra special living at this shelter.
Stamp Out Hunger/ Second Harvest
Every second Saturday in May, letter carriers in more than 10,000 cities and towns across America collect the goodness and compassion of their postal customers, who participate in the NALC Stamp Out Hunger National Food Drive — the largest one-day food drive in the nation. We set up our trucks at Cub Foods and load all of the food that is being donated. We then deliver the items to Second Harvest to give to local families in need.
Susan G. Komen
The Komen Minnesota Affiliate is working to better the lives of those facing breast cancer in our community. Every May the Susan G. Komen Race for the Cure takes place in Minneapolis to support breast cancer research and community education, as well as screening and treatment initiative throughout Minnesota to help those in need. We are a proud sponsor of the Race for the cure and help with the execution of the race.
Twin Cities Kids in Need Resource Center
We have built an excellent relationship with the Twin Cities Kids In Need Resource Center. They provide students in need with free school supplies. They want to make it possible for these children to fully participate in classroom learning. We assist by delivering pallets of backpacks filled with school supplies to local schools.
