At TWO MEN AND A TRUCK®, Boise, giving back to the communities we serve isn’t just a part of our mission, it’s a cornerstone of who we are. One powerful way we support those in need is through our annual Movers for Moms® campaign, an initiative that aims to bring a little extra comfort to moms facing challenging situations. This year, we partnered with the Women’s and Children’s Alliance (WCA) to collect essential items for mothers escaping domestic violence and sexual abuse. These women, often in the process of rebuilding their lives, face unimaginable hurdles, and a thoughtful gesture on Mother’s Day can make a world of difference.
Community Collaboration and Support
To maximize the impact, we placed collection boxes at Treasure Valley Les Schwab locations, providing convenient drop-off points for the community to drop off donations. We were also fortunate to collaborate with major local employers like Micron and Idaho Power, who hosted employee-only collection drives, rallying their teams to make a significant impact. Additionally, local Fred Meyer stores joined the effort by hosting one-day collection drives, offering shoppers a chance to support this meaningful cause. Our media partners, the X, Hank FM and The River along with sponsorship support from VW Boise promoted the one -day collection drive.
A Community That Cares
The support from these incredible partners, combined with the generosity of residents, underscores the power of community. We were able to collect 3,142 items, $1.781 in cash and gift cards for the WCA. Together, we’ve helped make Mother’s Day a little brighter for these courageous women, showing them that they are valued, cared for, and never alone in their journey to a better future. At TWO MEN AND A TRUCK, we believe that every small act of kindness contributes to a greater impact. We’re proud to stand with our community, supporting moms and families when they need it most. Thank you to everyone who made this year’s Movers for Moms® campaign a success. Together, we truly are moving people forward.
