Across the country, other states are experiencing this thing called fall, leaning into flannel, pumpkin spice, and changing leaves. But in sunny South Florida, back-to-school season is followed quickly by another annual tradition: the changing of the license plate colors. Suddenly, we start noticing the cars in front of us that actually let the UPS truck merge have plates from Pennsylvania, New York, New Jersey, and Quebec.
It can mean only one thing: the return of Florida’s other state bird, the snowbird.
Getting into the swing of the season
These seasonal residents trade cold weather for sunshine and snow days for boat days. But settling back into South Florida involves more than taking down the shutters that have been up since the beginning of hurricane season and shaking out the bathing suits.
Furniture and seasonal décor need to come out of storage. Patio furniture needs to make its way outside. Grills need to find their way back to balconies and patios. And somewhere, inevitably, there is probably a Santa-under-a-palm-tree inflatable waiting to make its triumphant return.
We can help the transition
For snowbirds returning to Boynton Beach and the surrounding communities, TWO MEN AND A TRUCK® can help make the transition back to Florida simple and stress-free.
Whether you are moving into a seasonal residence, relocating between homes, downsizing, or bringing furniture and belongings out of storage, our professionally trained movers can handle the heavy lifting. We also offer packing and unpacking services for customers who want help getting settled quickly after arriving in town.
And yes, our movers can unload the truck, trailer, or moving container you drove down with all of the things you absolutely could not leave behind.
Our Boynton Beach team is familiar with the unique requirements of South Florida moves, including gated communities, condominiums, senior living communities, building access requirements, elevator reservations, and certificates of insurance.
If you are returning to Palm Beach County for the season—or helping a parent or loved one get settled—let TWO MEN AND A TRUCK® help you start your Florida season with one less thing to worry about.
Welcome back, snowbirds. We’ll handle the heavy lifting.
