The spring months leading into summer often signal the end of school, the start of the busy season, and much better weather.
For TWO MEN AND A TRUCK, however, this is a very important time for our brand to live up to our core value of “giving back to the community”, and we do so through our Movers for Moms campaign, which wrapped up its 19th year last month on Mother’s Day. Movers for Moms is a brand-wide, international charitable program we created to give back to women and families who need a little extra assistance.
Inspired by our Founder, Mary Ellen Sheets, who was a single mom, this program has TWO MEN AND A TRUCK franchises across the United States and Canada partner with local businesses, schools, and organizations to set up collection sites for people to donate essential care items, which are then donated to women’s and family shelters on or around Mother’s Day.
These essential care items range from soap to toothpaste, clothing, diapers, and more. The goal is to give moms and their families the items they need so they can still feel important and special on Mother’s Day, as they deserve to be celebrated, too.
2026 was another successful Movers for Moms campaign for our brand, and the final collection numbers are in:
- 519,363 items collected in the United States
- 4,520 items collected across Canada
- More than 1,500 collection sites used across both countries
The top three locations for collection totals were:
- Sioux Falls, SD
- Jacksonville, FL
- Huntsville, AL
