Starting 8 weeks before your move
It's always best to plan ahead of schedule when you're thinking about moving. The earlier you plan the better chance you have at everything going the way you want it to.

- Start by packing your non-essential items. These will be items you rarely use. We suggest packing up seasonal decorations, books, and other items you will not need until after your move.
- Label your boxes!! We suggest labeling what is inside of the boxes and also where you would like these boxes to go in your new location.
- Update your address. Don't forget to tell USPS of your new address, and also tell your banks, credit card companies, insurance providers, and other important parties.
2-3 weeks before you move:
- Transfer your utilities. Don't forget your gas, water, electric, and internet!
- Have a plan for your fragile items, your valuable items, and your important documents. We recommend you keep your important documents and valuable items with you.

Make sure you take it with you in your car, that way you will have it with you.
