TWO MEN AND A TRUCK® Missoula is hosting its annual Movers for Moms® campaign for the ninth year, with this being our second year partnering with Mountain Home! Giving back to our communities has been an integral part of our foundation since the inception of TWO MEN AND A TRUCK® . We may be a moving company; however, we are in the people business first and believe we exist to make our communities better places.
A Movement Rooted in Care
Our founder, Mary Ellen Sheets, a single mom at the time, took a risk to start a small moving company that quickly grew into the multi-country business it is today. Because of Mary’s dedication, each franchise makes it its mission to give back to moms in need during Mother’s Day. Now, nineteen years later and nationwide for twelve of those years, the Movers for Moms® program has collected donations for domestic abuse shelters, homeless shelters, diaper banks, and various nonprofit organizations. Annually, TWO MEN AND A TRUCK® works with over 1,400 partners! Throughout the history of our program, we have received over 2 million donations as of 2025, with items being delivered just in time for Mother’s Day.
One recipient program has stated, “With TWO MEN AND A TRUCK®, the interaction is just really different. They really care about the people that they are helping, and they really care about helping the community and helping survivors”.
Uplifting Women and Families Who Hold Our Communities Together
Movers for Moms® is a program run across 48 states, with each location partnering with organizations, schools, and similar groups to collect care items for women who are survivors of domestic assault, facing housing displacement, or struggling with the day-to-day care of themselves and their children. These hardships are often hidden from the community and public; programs like Movers for Moms® help bring light to shelters and programs that many people don’t often know about. Items that are collected during this time are items like shampoo, conditioner, bathing supplies, diapers, and everyday necessities that are often taken for granted.
Our partners at Mountain Home have helped provide a safe home and nurturing community where young mothers can discover their strengths and their children can thrive. After one year of Mountain Home services, 95% had their food and basic needs met, 100% received prenatal and preventive child care, 90% had stable mental health, 98% found stable housing, 86% were employed or enrolled in education programs, and 96% of families remained safe, healthy, and together. With the critical impact this nonprofit foundation has, we have set a goal of collecting at least 200 items for donation. Donations like yours can make a meaningful difference in the day-to-day lives of young mothers.
Our core value is to provide care, and Movers for Moms® is a program that allows us to amplify our beliefs and provides mothers in need with something special for Mother’s Day. Our campaign will start on April 1 and will run until May 8th. Additional information on the program can be found at Movers for Moms® | TWO MEN AND A TRUCK.
