Movers for Moms® is a nationwide initiative led by TWO MEN AND A TRUCK® locations across the country. Each year, teams partner with local businesses to collect essential items for women staying in shelters or transitional housing programs.
Many mothers entering these programs are rebuilding their lives and may arrive with very few personal belongings. Through the generosity of local communities like Grand Forks, we can help provide basic necessities that bring comfort, dignity, and support during a difficult time.
How the Grand Forks Community Can Help
Residents and businesses throughout Grand Forks are invited to participate by donating commonly needed care items. Some of the most helpful donations include:
Shampoo and conditioner
Body wash and soap
Toothbrushes and toothpaste
Deodorant
Hairbrushes and hair ties
Feminine hygiene products
Lotion and other personal care items
These everyday items may seem small, but they can make a meaningful difference for mothers working to rebuild their lives.
Local Businesses Can Become Donation Partners
Businesses in the Grand Forks area can also get involved by becoming Movers for Moms® donation partners. Participating businesses simply host a collection box at their location during the campaign.
Our team at TWO MEN AND A TRUCK will provide the donation box and handle all the logistics. Once the campaign ends, we will collect the donated items and deliver them to the YWCA Cass Clay in Fargo.
It’s an easy and impactful way for Grand Forks businesses to support families in our region.
Delivering Donations to Support Local Moms
After the donation drive concludes on May 1, the TWO MEN AND A TRUCK team will gather all donations collected throughout the campaign and deliver them to the YWCA Cass Clay.
These items will go directly to mothers and families receiving support through the organization’s programs, helping provide essentials during an important time of transition.
