TWO MEN AND A TRUCK®,Twin Falls extends a huge thank you to the Magic Valley Community for their support in this year's Movers For Mutts® campaign.
The community came together again this year to help with the pet food collection drive, benefiting People For Pets. When families are struggling to provide food for their pets, the shelter steps in to provide essential food from the food pantry. This service helps families keep their pets in their home and reduces pet surrenders and over crowding in the shelter. TWO MEN AND A TRUCK® was honored to work with Fred Meyer to host a one-day collection drive, our volunteers manned the table and collected hundreds of items and over 50 blankets donated by Fred Meyer. Additionally, donations were dropped off at the shelter during the campaign. 950 lbs of pet food, 200 blankets and hundreds of pet items were donated by the community. We would like to extend our thanks for all the support to make this collection drive a huge success and to help pets while they are waiting on their forever homes.
People For Pets is a no-kill shelter, they rely heavily on donations from the community to help support animals in the shelter. This year, they are beginning their capital campaign to raise funds to expand the shelter to continue to serve the Magic Valley. They serve approximately 1,200 adoptable animals per year. They provide animal care, behavior assessments, pet owner education, spaying neutering and veterinary services all to enrich the lives of stray and abandoned pets.
