After half of the truck was loaded, they let me know oh by the way if the truck is filled more than 70%, you’ll be charged an additional $200. This was never articulated prior to having half of my stuff loaded on moving day. If I would have known that, I would have canceled. It felt like they knew I had no bargaining power as my move was held hostage. After several calls and arguing (The lady on the phone literally told me “it’s only $200”!), they finally agreed to not charge me extra. I paid $1,800 for a 21 mile move that filled a 26 ft truck. I could have spent half by hiring local moving help but decided I’d try them based on their no hassle reputation. Nope, attempted to nickel and dime.

<div>Our apologies for the confusion, but to be clear we never at any point attempted to hold anything hostage nor even implied it as a possibility. Our office received a call that there was substantially more inventory than was given to us to create the estimate. The reason that happened half way through the move was because there was a second loading stop at storage. When they realized the inventory was going from 76 items to more than double that, they realized they may need to revise the cost. As it states multiple times in the estimate sent, the estimate is based on the inventory provided, and if that changes significantly the price could change accordingly. That is stated multiple times in the original estimate email asking customers to review it for accuracy, because we are trying to make it extremely transparent that if there are more items than was disclosed to us, the price may be higher. At the end of the day after suggesting an 11% price increase for twice as many items as listed, we ended up agreeing to just do it for the original price because our guys felt they were moving through it quickly. I do apologize for the confusion, but I think we were very transparent in our estimate and that at the end of the day we were more than fair to move substantially more for the original cost.</div>

The two guys on the crew were excellent! They took care in my furniture and even setup my area rugs and helped move some things from the original location in my home to the basement. These guys worked hard from minute one to the last minute they were there!

Office staff was really cooperative and careful. I hired them to move a large piece of furniture from DE to MD without me in attendance. So everyone worked to make it a smooth and successful delivery. The delivery men were polite and very capable. They listened to my requests and made every attempt to do a great job. I would give everyone 5 stars.

I have never used a moving company before but it was the best decision! I read on-line reviews of different companies and Two Men and a Truck had excellent reviews on Yelp. The crew was great, very efficient, and very careful with all of my things. There was only one hiccup which was the dispatch time but it ended up working to my advantage in the end. I would highly recommend this company to others and definitely use them again.

I was extremely satisfied with the movers. I hired three men and they showed up on time at my doorstep. I was given an estimate of 4.5 hours from their office for my total move and the three men ensured that the move was completed within that time frame. They were very fast, careful and courteous. I would certainly recommend Two Men and a Truck.

I'm not sure if it was because I was the movers second move of the day , But the guys seemed to banter back and fourth with each other over whom was going to do which task , and they moved very slow I felt like they were going to stretch the job out for the full estimated time which they did the estimated time was 5 hrs and it took them 4.8 hrs. It seems odd that the movers I used to move me in a little over a year ago it took them less than 4 hours.

I would absolutely recommend Two Men and a Truck. I was nervous about this move because I was handling all the details myself, but my movers were amazing. They handled the whole move in 3.5 hours, they were incredibly polite, and they were sensitive to my anxiety about the move. It was a wonderful experience!
