I had a full pack and move from Longmont co to crested butte co December 18th.
The first day Adam and Joaquin were great. They took notes on what needed to be packed and did an excellent job.
Adam was a great lead and really watched over how everything was packed making sure all my antiques and family heirlooms were cared for.
The second day you had a different person replace Adam for the move which made NO sense. There were still a few things to pack, I had to repeat myself and now has i am finally unpacking it all after the holidays they packed empty boxes and things that I specifically told them not to.
They also took a lot of time on that move day, not leaving until later, so late that I had to leave early to get up to crested butte for work.
I have a lot of antique furniture. I repeatedly told them to wrap EVERY piece of furniture. I even had extra furniture wraps for them to use. When they arrived to crested butte numerous pieces were not wrapped. My dining room table was laying on its side with nothing on it in the truck, my butcher block table, a Desk from the 1920s and a family heirloom end table were also haphazardly put in the truck with no protection.
When bringing all of these items in they used dollys on the bare wood and did not have the proper equipment to move my butcher block (from the 1940’s) which I I initially let the first team know told was extremely heavy and would need special care and work to move.
Due to this my dining room dining table has chips out of it, the desk has damage and there are chips out of a delicate end table. They also dropped the butcher block chipping the side and there are large scratches on the top.
They also damaged my wall and had no drop cloths or runners to move anything into the house, leaving dirt and salt all through it, for which I am still cleaning up.
Management could have avoided this by having the same team pack and move everything. Also setting standards on every piece of furniture being wrapped and ensuring they have all they need for the move with a checklist.
The guys were nice - especially Adam who was extremely thorough and Joaquin who cared and worked well with Adams leadership.
I would like management to call me.
