Meet the dedicated team of TWO MEN AND A TRUCK® Kansas City!

Lucas Mills is 21 and originally from Ohio. In his spare time he loves to design, produce, and make playing cards, and loves brownies and every flavor of Monster energy drinks. He has been with the company since May of 2025, starting out as a mover. Now, he's the new Inside Sales Representative/Relocation Specialist. He loves helping people and making their needs feel seen. What he loves about working for TWO MEN AND A TRUCK® is being people's first contact, and easing someone's stress and mind about the upcoming move. "My favorite core of value of TWO MEN AND A TRUCK® is: One Team, One Dream. I believe from the movers to the drivers, to the GM and OPS, and even the customers... We have one true goal, and that is to make sure things go smoothly for everyone! Everyone involved on our team is the right person to be involved, and I fully believe that."

Curtis Newman joined the TWO MEN AND A TRUCK family in Dember of 2014. Previous to this, Curtis attended Coe College and received his accounting degree. After college Curtis spent some time as a Tennis Pro and Finance Manager before finding his way to TWO MEN AND A TRUCK. These days most of Curtis's free time is devoted to his family and newborn baby boy. Congrats Curtis!

Steve became part of the TWO MEN AND A TRUCK® family in December 2014 when he and his brothers acquired multiple franchise locations. While he’s not often on the trucks these days, he stays actively engaged in the business, focusing on supporting his team and fostering their success. In his free time, Steve enjoys watching the Iowa Hawkeyes and spending time with his family.

Nine years ago, Shannon embarked on her career journey at TWO MEN AND A TRUCK, where her exceptional performance as a Risk and Safety Specialist marked the beginning of her professional ascent. Through unwavering dedication and hard-earned accomplishments, Shannon steadily climbed the corporate ladder, eventually attaining the prestigious role of Chief Operating Officer within the TWO MEN AND A TRUCK portfolio under Elevated Opportunity Group.

Renowned for her discerning eye for talent and a profound commitment to nurturing individuals into adept leaders, Shannon has become synonymous with her knack for identifying and cultivating pivotal team members. Her unwavering dedication to cultivating a culture of growth and empowerment has not only enriched the personal development of her team members but has also significantly contributed to the overall triumph and expansion of the TMT Elevated Opportunity Group.

Beyond her thriving professional life, Shannon treasures her role as a devoted family person who relishes quality time spent with loved ones amidst the wonders of the great outdoors. She particularly enjoys trips back to Michigan to reconnect with her family. Moreover, Shannon finds immense joy in immersing herself in the world of country concerts, embarking on fishing adventures, and participating in a myriad of outdoor activities.

Meet Marrissia, our HR Generalist! Marrissia became a part of our team in February 2022 and has seamlessly integrated into her role. Driven by a passion to assist people and embrace continuous learning, she chose a career in HR. During her leisure hours, you'll discover her enjoying quality time with her four boys or exploring the latest offerings from local restaurants.

In October 2021, Dan joined Elevated Opportunity Group as the Chief Financial Officer, transitioning from his role as an "Accounting Support Specialist" at the TWO MEN AND A TRUCK® corporate office. Bringing over 16 years of Accounting expertise to the table, he now oversees the financial operations of 15 companies, including 7 TMAT locations and 2® TWO MEN AND A JUNK TRUCK locations. Outside of work, Dan treasures time with his expansive family, which includes 7 children and 5 grandchildren. During the warmer months, he can be found tending to his vegetable garden, finding joy in the growth of both plants and loved ones.

Christie started her career with TWO MEN AND A TRUCK® in May of 2001 as a receptionist and quickly moved into the role of Human Resources and Risk Management. She loves working with such an amazing team to create a safe, fun, family-like atmosphere. Moving people forward in their career with TWO MEN AND A TRUCK® is especially rewarding. She enjoys cake decorating, cheering on our KC Chiefs and Royals, and spending time with family and friends!

Jake is our General Manager here at TWO MEN AND A TRUCK! Jake brings valuable experience from his previous work with other TWO MEN AND A TRUCK franchises. He began his career as a driver at the Holland, MI location, where he was later promoted to Operations Manager at the Grand Rapids South, MI franchise. Seeking further growth, Jake moved to Bloomington, IN in February 2023 to take on the role of General Manager. In these positions, he witnessed remarkable personal and professional growth within the franchises he led. Jake is passionate about leaving a lasting impact on both customers and employees by upholding professional moving standards, adhering to strong moral principles, and fostering teamwork for success. Joining the Kansas City team in July 2024, he is eager to make a significant impact.

Matt Hubbard has been a member of TWO MEN AND A TRUCK, Kansas City since August of 2017. He started out as a mover and worked his way up to eventually becoming a team lead. During July of 2018, he made the jump from the operations team to the bookkeeping department. In 2020 Matt was placed in charge of our Accounting team. He has a passion for numbers and customer service overall. During Matt’s free time he enjoys going to the gym and building computers. He appreciates the opportunity and experience TWO MEN AND A TRUCK provides and is eager to move people forward.

Amber has been a Relocation Specialist here in KC since 2014. Amber's favorite part about helping move her customers forward is showing them how easy and stress-free moving really can be when the proper planning and preparation is done. During her free time, Amber enjoys swimming, going to the lake, and spending time with her two boys and daughter.

Brice joined TWO MEN AND A TRUCK in March 2022. He originally started as a driver before being promoted to Team Lead. After he spent time in that position, Brice excelled and was offered the Operations Manager position for our office. At work and in his personal time, he strives to be 1% better every day by going the extra mile. During his free time, you can find him drawing/focusing on the arts and trying good food at new local restaurants around the metro area. Brice also has a daughter whom he shares a lot of time with and strives to set her up for success!

Alyssa started as our summer intern back in 2019! What she thought was originally a summer gig, turned full time career as our Staff Accountant. Alyssa is an adrenaline junkie and loves: roller coasters, sky diving, and attending haunted houses.

David has spent just under a decade advancing through the ranks at TWO MEN AND A TRUCK®. Starting in Michigan, he rose to become a General Manager at Lake Shore and now is the Director of Operations for 14 locations. Outside of work, he’s busy making memories with his daughters through art and active play.

Maximus Gerbos has been with the company since 2024, starting out as a mover, then driver, then trainer, before being promoted to his current position: the Location Manager at our Overland Park office. He is originally from Cary, NC and has 2 cats named Luna and Nova. He enjoys traveling, live music, riding motorcycles, video games, and sports. Maximus' favorite core value of TWO MEN AND A TRUCK® is the Grandma Rule, because it represents putting care into everything that we do. "I love the family that has been built here and the fact that the crews work so well together and have a positive attitude when it comes to getting work done. I am excited for the opportunity to grow the Overland Park office into something bigger and hopefully turn it into the highest earning franchise location one day."
