Come Together in Person to Fight Breast Cancer in Milwaukee!
TWO MEN AND A TRUCK Waukesha is proud to partner with the American Cancer Society Making Strides Against Breast Cancer walk taking place in Milwaukee, Wis., on Saturday, Oct. 9. In recognition of Breast Cancer Awareness Month, Making Strides Against Breast Cancer features local celebrations and walks that raise funds for breast cancer research and programs. The franchise will donate in-kind services to support the walk's set-up and infrastructure at the Henry Maier Summerfest grounds.
"We value community-based events with local, passionate volunteers and contributors working to support friends and neighbors who are suffering from this terrible disease," said Lisa Paley, president of TWO MEN AND A TRUCK Waukesha and Milwaukee. "We hope the support of our trucks and caring teams helps to strengthen and support those who continue to fight for solutions and survival. We are grateful for the opportunity to be part of this event by providing our vehicles, time, and strength."
The ACS provides resources to help people learn about prevention and the most affordable and effective care. They also provide funding and resources for patients who can't afford care or who may need emotional support, as well as opportunities to serve. Sign up here to participate in the Milwaukee Making Strides Walk taking place in Milwaukee.
We're so happy to work with the Elmbrook Humane Society! We have done charitable moves for them in the past by picking up a pallet of 4,700 cans of pet food from Purina Pet Care Company in Jefferson and delivering to their facility. We look forward to continuing our partnership with this wonderful organization!
Operation FINALLY HOME was established in 2005 as a nonpartisan/nonprofit organization that has had a significant impact across the country. The mission of Operation FINALLY HOME is to provide mortgage-free homes to wounded, ill, or injured veterans and widows of the fallen. This year TWO MEN AND A TRUCK of Pewaukee is excited and proud to be providing the moving services and supplies to the very deserving Waukesha County recipients, the Davis family. We wish them the best of luck on their future!
This past fall, TWO MEN AND A TRUCK partnered with Toys "R" Us to host our first annual statewide Stuff-A-Truck event. Thanks to this generous community, our Waukesha location was able to collect over 800 new, unwrapped toys to benefit the U.S. Marine Corps Reserve Toys for Tots® of South East Wisconsin. We had a blast this year and look forward to an even more successful 2018!
