Moving Oklahoma City Forward

Community service is one of our core company values. We work to support, not only our customers, but also our local community through outreach efforts like Movers for Moms®, TWO MEN AND A TRUCK®’s collection drive for moms in need. In addition, we frequently make monetary donations or donate our services for a good cause. Check out some our of charity efforts below:

We take pride in supporting several local organizations within our Oklahoma City community. We are actively seeking new partners so we can help with food and toy drives this fall and winter. We'd love to donate our services in any way possible. Let us know what we can help with!

Featured Community Service

Warmth 4 Winter Coat Drive

The Warmth 4 Winter program, a collaborative effort between KFOR and the Salvation Army, continues its dedication to providing warm winter coats for children in need. The initiative, inspired by the late consumer advocate Brad Edwards, who devoted himself to assisting Oklahomans through the KFOR In Your Corner segments, aims to carry on his mission. The program's inception occurred approximately 30 years ago when Edwards observed children enduring the cold without coats, prompting him to launch the coat drive in partnership with The Salvation Army Central Oklahoma Area Command.

Local businesses play a pivotal role in the initiative by hosting coat donation boxes, allowing the community to contribute. Both TWO MEN AND A TRUCK and Legacy Cleaners generously donate their services to the cause. TMT will pick up the coats from various locations, while Legacy Cleaners prepares them for distribution back into the community. This program exemplifies the spirit of community collaboration, ensuring that everyone has access to a warm winter coat. The selfless contributions of TWO MEN AND A TRUCK and Legacy Cleaners underscore the commitment to making a positive impact in the lives of Oklahomans, staying true to Brad Edwards' vision.

TWO MEN AND A TRUCK Campaigns

Movers for Moms®

TWO MEN AND A TRUCK® Oklahoma City partners each spring with YWCA Oklahoma City for TWO MEN AND A TRUCK®'s Movers for Moms® campaign.

“This is our largest charitable event of the year,” said Adam Mecke, TWO MEN AND A TRUCK® Oklahoma City and Norman Franchisee. “We’re grateful to have the opportunity to coordinate this and support The YWCA and local mothers in need.”

The YWCA Oklahoma City website states, “YWCA Oklahoma City is, at our core, emergency crisis-intervention services for victims of domestic violence, sexual assault, and stalking. We are the triage unit for survivors. YWCA OKC work to lay the foundation for survivors to rebuild lives free from shame, blame, and future violence.”

“Our goal is simple: celebrate Moms this Mother’s Day,” said Lisa Nixon Nixon Mabry, TWO MEN AND A TRUCK® Oklahoma City and Norman Marketing Director. “These organizations are the heart of our community and we’re happy to help make these moms feel special for Mother’s Day.”

2019 marked the 12th anniversary of Movers for Moms®. Since its introduction, the program has expanded nationally to 41 states and more than 300 franchises. 2019 has been the campaign's most successful year to date! TWO MEN AND A TRUCK® collected 383,236 items for moms in need across the country with the help of over 1,200 drop off sites.

Charity Move for Disabled Couple

TWO MEN AND A TRUCK® Oklahoma City recently helped a disabled couple in desperate need for relocation assistance. They were faced with eviction by a landlord who’d taken their rent money and failed to pay the mortgage on the home. They couldn’t afford movers, but TWO MEN AND A TRUCK® Oklahoma City stepped up and relocated them to a new residence, free of cost. The franchise stated they were happy to help. For the story, visit Oklahoma News 4 and see the story, “Light at the end of the tunnel for tenants facing eviction.”

Brad Edwards' Warmth 4 Winter

TWO MEN AND A TRUCK Oklahoma City partners each year with the Brad Edwards' Warmth 4 Winter Coat Drive through the Salvation Army. Cooler weather means it is time for a coat drive to help keep Oklahomans warm. Every year, thousands of Oklahomans donate their gently used coats to help others in need. We provide the wardrobe boxes and handle the logistics in order to make sure all donations will get to the right place for distribution. If you know anyone in need of a winter coat, contact us via email or phone or the Salvation Army at (405) 246-1100.

Oklahoma Mission of Mercy

The Oklahoma Mission of Mercy(opens in a new window) kicks off every February. The Oklahoma Dental Foundation(opens in a new window) is the host of this event. The OkMOM is a two-day, MASH-style free dental clinic designed to treat the most pressing needs of patients that are either uninsured, under-insured, or would normally not have access to dental care. Patients will undergo medical and dental triage to identify their needs and then be routed to the appropriate areas of treatment: oral surgery, extractions, restorations, pediatrics, and hygiene. They anticipate treating 2,000 patients this year! TWO MEN AND A TRUCK® donates services to help transport and set up this event at the Cox Convention Center. Join us in early 2020 as we help aid in our community toward healthy living!
