Giving Back to Desoto County

Giving back to the comminity is one of TWO MEN AND A TRUCK®'s core values. We cannot wait to dive into the North, MS community by getting involved in various events and give back to the community, who had welcomed us with open arms. TWO MEN AND A TRUCK® North, MS has two local community service programs that we are excited to share with you! The Movers for Moms® campaign takes place in the spring time and Movers for Meals takes place in the fall. Please let us know if you would like to take part in either of these programs. Imagine the impact we could make!

Movers for Moms®

Movers for Meals

TWO MEN AND A TRUCK® Jackson collect canned goods and non-perishable food items to support a local food bank. We collect items every fall from October 1st through the week before Thanksgiving. The purpose of the Movers for Meals program is to recognize and support the thousands of people across Mississippi that rely on food assistance each year. Our beneficiary for the last two years has been the Pinelake Maidson Care Center, which is a resource center where families in need can come to receive food, encouragement, and hear about Christ.

This year, with the help of community partners, TWO MEN AND A TRUCK® hopes to collect as many cans as possible; and will in turn match all items donated. These community partners will serve as drop off points for canned goods and non-perishable food items. Last year we donated over 1,500 items to the Care Center; and we hope to continue supporting the fight against hunger.

TWO MEN AND A TRUCK® North, MS will collect canned goods and non-perishable food items to support a local food bank. We collect items every fall from October 1st through the week before Thanksgiving. The purpose of the Movers for Meals program is to recognize and support the thousands of people across Mississippi that rely on food assistance each year. Our beneficiary is to be determined; and if you know of any organization in need we would love to hear about them!

Thanksgiving is a time in which many gather around the dinner table with friends and family, sharing stories and giving thanks for what they have in their lives. However, there are some families in American who don't get the opportunity to share in the same festivities because they're without food. To fight hunger this Thanksgiving holiday, TWO MEN AND A TRUCK® North Mississippi is hosting its first annual Movers for Meals collection drive to provide families with food items. Our goal is to feed as many families as possible this Thanksgiving day.

This year, Movers for Meals is benefiting  HeartLand Hands Food Pantry, which is a resource center committed to strengthening the community by providing food assistance to residents of North Mississippi. With the help of more than 25 community partners, TWO MEN AND A TRUCK® North Mississippi hopes to collect as many cans as possible, and will in turn match all items donated. These community partners will serve as drop off points for canned goods and non-perishable food items, and will be collecting donations from Monday, Oct. 3 through Thursday, Nov. 17. Through this program we hope to continue supporting the fight against hunger.
