Community Service in Grand Rapids
It is very important to be a part of the community here at TWO MEN AND A TRUCK® Grand Rapids South! We keep very close with our local chamber’s. Monthly luncheons and events year round are attended, and it’s always such a great time with a great group of people! We are part of the Jenison Grandville Chamber of Commerce, the Wyoming Kentwood Chamber of Commerce, and the Grand Rapids Area Chamber of Commerce.
Movers for Moms®
Movers for Moms® is continuing to grow here at TWO MEN AND A TRUCK, Grand Rapids South. Every year we collect more and more items to donate to our locations in need. We work with Tutor Time, Rainbow Child Care, Childtime, Ross Medical Education Center, Safe Haven Ministries, The YWCA, and many more. It is truly rewarding to see the faces of the women’s shelter provider’s, when we show up with so many items!

Safe Haven Ministries
Safe Haven Ministries(opens in a new window) is a local shelter for women and children escaping abusive situations. They provide a safe place for women and their children to get back on their feet until they are able to be independent. Each year, TWO MEN AND A TRUCK® Grand Rapids South collects personal care items for Safe Haven in our Movers for Moms program. We are proud to partner with such a great organization to help them help others!
Toys for tots
Toys for Tots(opens in a new window) is a fantastic program that collects new toys to give to children in need as Christmas gifts! Each year, TWO MEN AND A TRUCK® Grand Rapids South serves as a collection site for toy collection. We raise money within our office and use it to buy toys! We also provide moving service to pick up the toys in the Grand Rapids community at the end of the toy drive! This is such a great cause, and we love to support them and out local community.
Local Area Chambers of Commerce and organizations
Wyoming Kentwood Chamber of Commerce is one of several local chambers that TWO MEN AND A TRUCK® is proud to be part of. In addition to partaking in monthly networking meetings, your Grand Rapids South movers are also happy to be involved with many events throughout the year. We've been part of several 28th St. Metro Cruises in the past, and never miss an opportunity to participate in the Santa Parade!
Grandville Jenison Chamber of Commerce is another local chamber that TWO MEN AND A TRUCK® participates in on a regular basis. We attend many monthly and quarterly networking events. We also love to check out their event calendar frequently to see what is coming up next! This chamber is full of fun and friendly people, and any event by them is always a good time!
Property Management Association of West Michigan is a wonderful organization that is right down the road from our office! This is a great space for us to get to know local property managers and suppliers for the industry. It's another amazing group of people who always have a good time, and we truly enjoy going to their networking events as much as we can! We also are a part of their golf outing each summer, which is a great time and an excellent way to be involved in the community!

Movers for Moms®
MOVERS FOR MOMS® is continuing to grow here at TWO MEN AND A TRUCK, Grand Rapids South. Every year we collect more and more items to donate to our locations in need. It is truly rewarding to see the faces of the women’s shelter provider’s, when we show up with so many items! In 2019, we donated close to 4,000 essential care items to Safe Haven Ministries and Alpha Grand Rapids.
Movers for Mutts®
Starting in 2019, Grand Rapids South has partnered with a local West Michigan Rescue, Michele's Rescue for our MOVERS FOR MUTTS® campaign. Businesses, veterinary offices, pet stores, and universities have offered to host donation boxes at their locations to collect essential pet items. Michele's Rescue began its no-kill rescue in 1997 and they are mainly foster based. The animals they house are vaccinated, microchipped, treated for parasites and fleas, heartworm tested, and spayed/neutered. They are an incredible organization and we are completely honored to help them this fall.

Alpha Grand Rapids
We are extremely excited to partner with Alpha Women's Center on our 2019 Movers for Moms® campaign! Alpha Women's Center is a nonprofit organization that strives to transform hearts, enrich lives, and impact generations to come. They offer multiple services from ultra sounds to mentoring and even a GED completion program! We are so grateful to be able to work with such an amazing organization and make such a great impact on our community here in Grand Rapids.
Michele's Rescue
In 1997, Michele's Rescue set out with one mission in mind; save the fur-babies. And that is exactly what they have been doing for the past 22 years. They are a 501c3 non-profit animal rescue that takes in dogs and cats that are on their way to be put down. They foster these animals until they find the best forever home imaginable. Their following has grown tremendously over the years and they have done incredible work in West Michigan. We are truly honored to have them as our partner for our Movers for Mutts® campaign.
