Community Service in Louisville
TWO MEN AND A TRUCK® Louisville East dedicates time and resources to our community and we stay continuously involved with local charities throughout the Kentuckiana area.
Movers for Moms®
TWO MEN AND A TRUCK believes that every mom should be celebrated on Mother's Day. That's why we participate in Movers for Moms® and team up with local organizations to collect essential items which will be delivered to our 2017 partner, Mom's Closet Resource Center, around Mother's Day.
Mom's Closet Resource Center
Mom’s Closet Resource Center is dedicated to developing the potential of single mothers in the state of Kentucky with encouragement, education, and by setting a good example through a Christian viewpoint. Changing the future of Kentucky’s kids, one mom at a time.
Partnerships and Organizations
TWO MEN AND A TRUCK Central East Louisville also supports several charitable organizations in the Louisville area. We donated over 100 volunteer hours in 2015 to Kosair Children's Hospital, Family Scholar House, and American Heart Association to name a few.
Kosair Children's Hospital
For more than a century, Kosair Children's Hospital and its predecessor hospitals have cared for the children of Kentucky and Southern Indiana without regard to their families' ability to pay. Kosair Children's Hospital is Kentucky's only full-service, free-standing pediatric care facility dedicated exclusively to caring for children and is an advocate for the health and well-being of all children. The 267-bed hospital serves as the primary pediatric teaching facility for the University of Louisville School of Medicine. Kosair Children's Hospital received the prestigious Magnet designation from the American Nurses Credentialing Center recognizing excellence in nursing from the American Nurses Credentialing Center in 2007 and again in 2012.
Festival of Trees & Lights
We are gearing up to participate in the 27th annual Festival of Trees & Lights. Hosted by the Children's Hospital Foundation, hundreds of volunteers designed and decorated Christmas trees, wreaths and hand crafted holiday items - which wil be sold to raise funds for Kosair Children’s Hospital November 11 - 13. We donated our delivery services for needed supplies as well as for the delivery of trees and wreaths that wil be purchased by festival attendees.
Family Scholar House
Family Scholar House is changing lives, families and communities through education. Their mission is to end the cycle of poverty and transform our community by empowering families and youth to succeed in education and achieve life-long self-sufficiency.
Norton Cancer Institute
Have you or someone you know been affected by cancer? Perhaps you ride in memory of a loved one or to celebrate survivorship. The Bike to Beat Cancer is a one-day bicycling event for all riders who want to make a difference and help those battling cancer at Norton Cancer Institute. There are three distance options from which to choose: 35, 65 or 100 miles. Not a bike rider? You can always volunteer. Whatever you do, you are helping those battling cancer.
