Moving Forward By Giving Back

Aside from providing outstanding and professional customer service, TWO MEN AND A TRUCK® Tri-Valley is passionate about contributing to the on-going growth of its community.

Movers for Moms®

One of the core values at TWO MEN AND A TRUCK is giving back to the community with each franchise carrying it out on a daily basis. A major way our company gives back is through our annual cause campaign, Movers for Moms®, a collection drive starting from early Spring leading up to Mother's Day. The objective of Movers for Moms® is to provide the essential care items that most of us take for granted to mothers who are living in homeless or domestic abuse shelters. The program has gained more success every year through its many partnerships with local schools, businesses, and other organizations who assist in the collecting of the needed items.

For our 2015 cause campaign, we chose Shepherd's Gate as the receiving beneficiery. Shepherd's Gate is a local non-profit organization who considers themselves to be a "safe haven" rather than a shelter and who knows what it takes to make a real difference in one's life. While providing a hot meal and a bed to sleep in for the night are among the services they provide, this barely scratches the surface when it comes to how they are actively giving back to the community.

Community Building

Marine Toys for Tots

In 2015, we partnered with the Marine Toys for Tots program. We donated our trucks and movers to assist the Marines in collecting toys all over the Bay Area.  We attended numerous toy drives including the yearly toy drive for Alice 97.3 and the SAP Center.

Good News Bears

The local non-profit organization, Good News Bears, provides teddy bears to children and adults who have been hurt or traumatized, those who have fallen sick or suffering from abuse, loss or loneliness. Founded in 1996, GNB delivers an average of 14,000 "stuffed love" teddy bears per year to shelters, hospitals, hospice, and emergency personel among many others in the Livermore area. We give back to this cause by storing all of these precious critters before being delivered to their forever friend.

Habitat for Humanity of East Bay/Silicon Valley

Since opening, we have donated our team and trucks to countless hours of volunteer work for local charities such as Habitat for Humanity. Transforming the lives of families by building houses with affordable mortgages and rehabilitating existing ones, revitalizing neighborhoods and providing councel to first-time homebuyers. We are happy to be a part of bringing Habitat's vision of "a world where everyone has a decent place to live" to life.

American Cancer Society

We continue to contribute to the American Cancer Society, our system-wide national charity of choice, by donating 10 cents of every move to the cause. Since 2001, TWO MEN AND A TRUCK® raised more than $400,000 with the donated money benefiting local American Cancer Society programs in cities where franchises are located.

Susan G. Komen Fund of Mid-Michigan

We contribute regularly to the Susan G. Komen fund by participating in their Race for the Cure across the country, but mostly with our donations of $1 for every returned survey submitted by our customers following a move.
